Our equipment uses the unique PulseGate Technology... Every frame of your film footage is scanned directly into a 3 CCD, 700+ line broadcast imaging camera. Frame by frame scanning means your transfers are flicker free, sharp, and evenly illuminated from corner to corner.

 

We clean all footage prior to transfer and repair splices if necessary. Once transferred we provide color and density correction for every roll of film. The Adobe software tools we use can even pull detail and images out of dark or underexposed film and correct the "white balance" to help restore the original color.


The creation of the best quality DVD begins with hardware encoding (instead of software based converters) for the best MPEG2 compression. If you order a deluxe DVD, we will include full motion menus for easy navigation to any individual reel of film. Instrumental background music which reflects the mood and tempo of the action can be added to silent films if you desire.

What Reel Dupes can't do for you!

We can not correct for poorly focused shots or film that is bent, warped or in especially poor condition. Also, it may not be possible to remove all embedded debris from the film emulsion or film that is scratched. That having been said, what we promise is to provide an end product consistent with the quality of the film sent to us.

I don't know what's on my film. Can I see it first? 

Here is where Reel Dupes is unique. We work with you one-on-one to create the final product. If you want to see what's on your film reels before you decide, you can order a "rough cut" on VHS or DVD.

• Send us your film for transfer.
• Ask for a basic DVD or videotape only transfer.
• All film will be transferred and stored until you can see what you have and decide on the final order of the reels and titles
